Mixtape Minigame Guide

Mixtape completion mostly comes down to short challenge scenes done cleanly. This page breaks those scenes down chapter by chapter so you know what the trophy actually wants, what usually fails, and whether the chapter is worth replaying on its own.

🛹 Chapter-by-chapter⏱️ Timers🎯 Accuracy + perfect runs🔁 Fast retries

How to use this page

If a trophy does not pop, do not keep playing and hope. Replay that chapter as a single-purpose run, confirm the exact condition, and reset immediately after a failure. For broader cleanup order, combine this page with Chapter Select Guide and Platinum Roadmap.

Best Challenge Blocks To Replay Together

Timed block
Run Chapter 17 first, then do Chapter 21-24 back to back. These are the cleanest isolated retries in the game and pair naturally with chapter select.
Late-game perfect block
Group Chapter 27 and Chapter 28 together. Both are concentration trophies where a single miss invalidates the run.
Dense cleanup chapter
Chapter 26 is worth replaying as its own cleanup stop because it holds multiple objectives in one short space: cut-outs, VHS tapes, and the Slater-room completion payoff afterward.

General Minigame Principles That Save Replays

Reset early
If the trophy condition is “no crash,” “no miss,” or “under X seconds,” a single failure usually invalidates the whole attempt. Reset immediately and try again while the muscle memory is fresh.
Do one goal per replay
A replay is cheapest when it is focused. Mixing multiple goals in one run increases uncertainty about why something did not pop.
Treat count goals as “over-complete”
For “50 rolls” or “200 tapes” style trophies, do more than the requirement before leaving the scene, because counting errors are common.
Let the chapter finish when needed
A few trophies do not feel instant even when you meet the condition. Photo and balloon-related trophies are safer if you let the sequence resolve instead of assuming it failed the moment it does not pop.

Minigame Guide FAQ

Which page has the full achievement list by chapter?
Use the main hub at Mixtape Trophy Guide for the full checklist and chapter mapping.
What if I am not sure which chapter contains the failed trophy?+
Start with the trophy list on the main guide and match the trophy name to its chapter label. Then replay only that chapter via chapter select.
Which minigame trophies are best left for chapter select?+
The cleanest chapter-select trophies are the isolated challenge chapters: Instructions Not Required, the Chapter 21-24 timed block, and late perfect-run chapters like The Run and Coastal Cruise.
Do different platforms change minigame difficulty?+
The objectives are effectively the same. The practical difference is list format: PS5 trophies plus Platinum vs Xbox/PC achievements.
